THINGS KEEP GETTING BETTER AND I CANNOT PUT IT DOWN.PS. Yato is totally hot during that kimono era something, like, his God of Calamity side is so hot.

This manga continues to deliver! The evil behind Bishamon is at work and the ultimate showdown between her and Yato draws near. We learn the story behind the hatred she has for him and where loyalties lie. Great plotting and exciting coming this far in the story but 'waaaaa' the ending! OMG, so totally devastating if what appears to happen really happens. Waaaaa! Need. next. volume!

Another great installment, with an ending that would have KILLED ME if I hadn't seen the anime/didn't have the next volume to pick up immediately. I love Yukine and Yato's relationship SO MUCH. Ugh.Side-note: The "Atrocious Manga" at the end of each volume is absolutely priceless. They're like ad libs that might be included in a movie's blooper reel. HILARIOUS. <3

Yukine!!!! I actually screamed that part. But my friend who finished reading wayyy before me said not to worry about it.Man, what a cliffhanger. I am so mad at Bishamom right now. Even knowing the back story doesn't help. She doesn't learn from her mistake. That many shikis and she did not get to know them, of course there's gonna be a few who's disgruntled.Hiyori though. Yato blushes a lot around her. How is he gonna hide the fact that she's precious. Yukine is all for protecting her...slightly Yukine!!!! I actually screamed that part. Yeah, I'm pretty into it now. Kind of wish they didn't translate umaibou into Deliciastick. It doesn't really work to make up a fictitious snack name if there's no English equivalent. Maybe "snack stick" would have worked better or even Umaibou snack? I know what an Umaibou is, but I didn't pick up on what they were going for with Deliciastick unfortunately.I like the explanation for the different names for the clans. That's a nice touch. Oh gosh. Heartbreaking ending. Finally we find out what happened between Bishamon and Yato, and it’s surprising and frustrating and reflective of the complications in this world, the complicated relationships, misunderstandings, and brokenness of this world. When trying to help, you can end up destroying a relationship, and the repercussions can spread far beyond oneself. I guess this episode really got me thinking and feeling. For that, I’ll give it five stars.

Everyone in this series: “Protecting your shinki is a god’s most sacred duty!!!” All the gods so far: *treat their shinki like trash and/or get them killed*

Yukiii!!! I am glad I watched the anime so I know that (view spoiler)[ Yuki is not dead, he is okay (hide spoiler)] God, that was an intense volume. I hated Bishamon here, I mean open your eyes, she is a bit dense, isn't she? Still I am amazed at the courage of Kazumi. I really like him as a character.PS: Yato and other characters in kimonos..really gorgeous!

Unfortunately, Kugaha is the one to tell Kazuma that Suzuha's dead & he goes to leave flowers at the sakura tree and that's where Yukine sees him & ends up travelling to Bishamon's home with him by accident & HE SCREAMS AT BISHAMON ABOUT WHAT KIND OF GOD IS SHE IF SHE COULDN'T EVEN PROTECT SUZUHA & ALL HE DID WAS SMILE FOR HER BUT SHE COULDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR HIM & CALLS HER HOME A HELL & SHE SHOOTS AT HIM BUT KAZUME PROTECTS HIM BY DRAWING A BORDERLINE AGAINST BISHAMON Unfortunately, Kugaha is the one to tell Kazuma that Suzuha's dead & he goes to leave flowers at the sakura tree and that's where Yukine sees him & ends up travelling to Bishamon's home with him by accident & HE SCREAMS AT BISHAMON ABOUT WHAT KIND OF GOD IS SHE IF SHE COULDN'T EVEN PROTECT SUZUHA & ALL HE DID WAS SMILE FOR HER BUT SHE COULDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR HIM & CALLS HER HOME A HELL & SHE SHOOTS AT HIM BUT KAZUME PROTECTS HIM BY DRAWING A BORDERLINE AGAINST BISHAMON & SHE EXILES HIM!!AND This is exactly what Kugaha wanted...so to continue his plan, he kidnaps Hiyori & locks her up with Kazuma to make Yato think that Bishamon kidnapped her so he'll come to kill the weakened Bishamon (who Kugaha poisoned with his medicines & hid her blight) - so Yato comes & Kazuma also tells Hiyori about his past with Bishamon; the previous 'ma' clan that he was part of were all killed by Yato...but he asked Yato to kill them all when Bishamon got infected by them & killing them was their only option - and so Bishamon was saved by Yato but her hatred for him grew because it was the only thing that kept her going. So now Yato goes & he & Bishamon start fighting with the intent to kill each other (& KUgaha hopes Bisha's killed so he can replace her with the new Bisha that'll be born) & OMG YATO GETS TRAPPED IN A BORDERLINE TRIANGLE & BISHAMON'S ABOUT TO DELIVER THE KILLING BLOW BUT YUKINE GETS IN THE WAY OF IT & THE BLADE IS SNAPPED IN HALF!!

This is the last volume that I stopped a few years ago. I'm still not sure why I stopped, maybe it was a bit dense, or I was distracted by Kamisama Kiss. I like Yato as the main character, he's adorable. The art style is the main thing that appeals to me. I'm still wary about the plot and sometimes I need some of the fast-paced action in shonen manga and this doesn't have much, but the plot is still intriguing at least. SUZUHA!!! the sunflower child (well, technically not, but I always think of sunflowers for some reason....) rest in pieces, poor boy. also I can't remember if yukine makes any more shinki friends in future chapters but I sure hope so; his friendship with suzuha was so cute.ah yes the kazubisha angst is in THIS book. I was wondering when it was going to show up. (the look on both of their faces when kazuma drew the boundary against viina though) (now THAT is quality angst)

Lots of exciting action, fight scenes, and big revelations in this volume. But there’s a bit too much Bishamon and not quite enough Yato, if you ask me. I do like Kazuma so I’m glad he got more “screen time” this time around. We also get a tantalizing glimpse into Yato‘ past that leaves one wanting to know more.

This might have been my favorite volume of Noragami by far. Have you ever watched a villain's plot so magnificently unfold that you can't help but be impressed? Here we have our heroes tragically succumbing to their own pasts and prejudices and playing their parts too well. Their own beliefs lead to a cliffhanger that had me making sure the library had the next volume.

I think this one has most of the parts that affects my poor and weak heart: yato and hiyori, yukine and suzuha, kazuma and bishamon, kazuma and yato and finally yato and yukine and that freaking cliffhanger

The history of Bishamonten and Yato comes to light, forcing their conflict to a head. Tragedy is repeated, as both are used as pawns in a bigger game.I particularly enjoy how this is more than good vs evil. Different characters have different motivations and are accordingly moved.

The plotting continues. The rising action is happening as the plot to get rid of a god continues. I am liking the way this series is headed. Is this just a story arc, or is this going to be the complete series?

The ultimate showdown between Bishamon and Yato draws near. We learn the story behind the hatred she has for him. I feel bad for Kazuma, and for Yukine. They are caught in the middle, when they shouldn’t be.

Do you know how hard it is to not shout about this book while reading in a dental surgery? It's really bloody hard... I knew how it was going to end, it wouldn't be a book if it didn't end at that point. But still.YUKINE!!!

If you ever pick up this volume I recommend also getting volume 6 too because it's a cliffhanger, volume 5. It's a really good series it keeps getting better and better and doesn't get boring.
