Takedown (Alexandra Poe, #2)
After an op in Istanbul goes sour, all Alexandra Poe wants is a little down time, and a chance to finally sell off the family vacation home in Key Largo which carries too many painful memories. Instead, she finds herself on a private Bahamian island, working with Deuce and Cooper to relieve a human rodent of some very sensitive codes, and to take down one of the world's most notorious terrorists. Just another job for Stonewell International. Or is it?What Alex doesn't realize is that she's about to get caught up in a twisted maze of shifting allegiances that forces her to face those painful memories head on-even if it's the last thing she ever does...

Okay, I have no idea when the next book will be out but the ending of this sucked. Not really a cliffhanger but some unanswered questions. A video of her father telling her he's going to answer all her questions then, "Alexandra Poe will be back." That's it? That's how it ended. This one was a little more believable than the first book was. Alexandra, Deuce and Cooper had to get some sensitive codes that the bad guy was selling to another bad guy. Unbelievable how much the plot of this book takes twists and turns, it is well thought out and written. Add to this a bunch of colorful secondary characters and you have one heck of a read (or listen).

Amazing thriller, second one in the Alexandra Poe series. Sure wish they'd write the third one. Still a lot of mystery to reveal. Of course, this is part of the thrill reading her story.Great characters and great storytelling.

Not a team playerSo Alex is beautiful, an expert in martial arts, and quite intelligent. Too bad that she constantly plays above her skill level by not sharing with her team. It might to some be a decent plot ploy but me - it just annoys me no end.

I really like these authors...Great story. Love the characters and the fast action of the story. I can’t wait to read the next book. Highly recommend this series.

A decent read though at times Alexandra makes really poor decisions. Her team is put in danger several times just because she can't control her emotions.

This is the second book written by Robert Gregory Browne and Brett Battles in the Alexandra Poe Series.I liked Alex in POE--the first book in the series. In TAKEDOWN, I liked her even more. She’s a kick ass heroine with depth. Alex is more than a strong, courageous heroine with a lot of stamina and intelligence. In TAKEDOWN the layers of her personality are slowly peeled away, allowing the reader to connect with her even more as we see her emotional side and feel her vulnerability. The other char This is the second book written by Robert Gregory Browne and Brett Battles in the Alexandra Poe Series.I liked Alex in POE--the first book in the series. This is the second in a series of books co-written by Brett Battles and Robert Gregory Browne. Like the first one, the main character is Alexandra Poe. The Poe boys (Robert Gregory Browne and Brett Battles) are back with the second installment in the Alexandra Poe series. I really liked the first one, and I have to say this one is even better. The pacing is letter-perfect and the action scenes are crisper and more focused. Like the writers of a great TV show, the authors do a good job of weaving the plot of this "episode" in with the overall story arc of Alexandra Poe's search to find out the truth about her missing father and murdered mother, The Poe boys (Robert Gregory Browne and Brett Battles) are back with the second installment in the Alexandra Poe series. I like these characters. The story is engaging but not surprising. Not overly violent. I'll read the next in the series next month. This series is my current Prime Lenders selections
