Death Note, Vol. 6 (Death Note, #6)
Although they've collected plenty of evidence tying the seven Yotsuba members to the newest Kira, Light, L and the rest of the task force are no closer to discovering which one actually possesses the Death Note. Desperate for some headway, L recruits Misa to infiltrate the group and feed them information calculated to bring Kira into the open. But the Shinigami Rem reveals to Misa who the Kiras really are, and, armed with this knowledge, Misa will do anything to help Light. But what will that mean for L...?

Like always with the very tips of his fingers like he doesn't like touching things. He is so adorable. And also how he sits.• And also how sometimes he and Light need to punch each other and then they settle back down and keep solving mysteries.• BUT WHY IS LIGHT SO DIFFERENT. HE BETTER HAVE SUCH A CUNNING PLAN OR I'M GONNA BE DISAPPOINTED.• See the main problem with this book (and the last) is that it focus on apprehending this new Kira who is some evil company dude. And I mean...who cares???? The stakes were SO much more interesting before. Sitting through pages and pages and pages of company dudes talking MAKES ME WEEP LIKE A VERY PERPLEXED GRAPE. #NotHappyJan• I also felt this one was pretty slow. Usually I devour these in one sitting, but I actually found myself putting it down twice and not being that bothered.• Also as much as I do like Misa, because she's adorable, it STILL bothers me that her only aim in life is to please/love Light. Like. No.• THE ENDING WAS SO ACTIONY AND BRILLIANT. AHHHHHHHHHHH. And the little "coming up next" paragraph indicated that answers are coming about Kira/Light in the next book... And I want it immediately. CURSE YOU THURSDAY FOR BEING MY LIBRARY DAY AND FOR ME HAVING TO WAIT THAT LONG.• Ahem. Excuse me.• Why is L so cute though? It should be illegal.• Also L x Misa's relationship is everything because they really hate each other and it's adorable.• ALSO I STILL LIKE LIGHT. • Yup. I'm done now.

Both characters weren't as interesting as they used to be.-Misa was still the best character. I loved how much Rem cared for her and looked out for her, it was really sweet.-I was glad Matsuda lived, he reminded me of a male Misa, he was so funny and cute.-Really loved the ending with the chase for Higuchi/other Kira.

The investigations about the new Kira continue, with many twists and a pace that becomes faster. Jeez, It's almost scary how we predicted this. That sums up the situation L and Light made to catch "The New Kira." Honestly, except that I didn't feel much absorbed in this volume.

Death Note is something I started because I was recommended it by someone who I value their opinion. But my expectations for this series has not been turning out to what my reaction is while reading it. And don’t take -that as a bad idea, because the series is so much more than I had hoped for. This series has taken me on a whirlwind of adventure with different characters who all bring something new to every volume. Like mentioned in an earlier review, I felt that the manga might end soon but the Death Note is something I started because I was recommended it by someone who I value their opinion. But my expectations for this series has not been turning out to what my reaction is while reading it. And don’t take -that as a bad idea, because the series is so much more than I had hoped for. This series has taken me on a whirlwind of adventure with different characters who all bring something new to every volume. Like mentioned in an earlier review, I felt that the manga might end soon but there is always something waiting to keep me in its grasp and holding on.Light and L are still working together and now they are trying to unveil the new Kira that has appeared inside this business whose main goal is to take out their competitors and rise to the top. However the idea of risking lives is not becoming something Light, L, and the other members of their group to discuss and see if risking the lives of a couple individuals is okay if it means ending the reign of a compulsive killer. There are so many twists and turns in this series that whenever you think something is going to happen something out of the blue pops out and it seems to be that the people in the book who start to have control of the Death Note are becoming more and more sinister. It just blows my mind to think of the power these people have and what they do it.Overall this is a manga that I recommend you check out and see where it will take you. I am highly enjoying it and will see it till the end.Happy Reading!

*4.5/5 stars*This one got really intense, especially towards the end. I guessed who Kira was in the previous volume (I had my suspicions), but other than that this is probably my second favourite, after the first one.

Luckily Light's father is the head of the Japanese National Police Agency and leaves vital information about the case lying around the house. With access to his father's files, Light can keep one step ahead of the authorities. But who is the strange man following him, and how can Light guard against enemies whose names he doesn't know?As you can expect by my rating this was fantastic! I can't say much about this particular volume as it is the 6th, but I would highly recommend the manga & anime of this series.

    - It's getting better! The suspense is definitely up!- L and Light make a great team. It is too bad they were destined to be enemies.- Misa is pretty clever, but also pretty dumb. I can't figure her out.- Rem is a girl!?!?!? - I have a feeling that Light and Misa are going to get their Death Note's back.- I like Wedy; she is really cool.- Sometimes the art changes style, and I don't know why.

The last two chapters in this volume were particularly exciting, especially in a series that spends so much time in the characters' heads.

I'm in the process of reading the entire Death Note series...rereading first several volumes (which I had read a few years ago), and then picking up with those volumes I hadn't read. This volume, and parts of the previous, has the storyline taking a less engaging turn, I feel. Nonetheless, by the end of this current volume, there's the promise of yet another turn...one that I find interesting. I'm not sure that Light/Kira and L working together was the most enjoyable part of the series so far.
