WHY IS THE 4TH BOOK NOT IN MY HANDS. AHHHH MASSIVE PLOT TWIST AT THE END OF THIS ONE!!! Okay so, as always, I am a fan. (I mean, DUH. I'm on Vol #3, when usually anything that remotely smells like a series takes me 19 years to work through.) I loved this one particularly much because of the sheer amount of deducing and battles of wits. I loooove smart books. This series is SMART. We're talking genius' battling it off and trying to make the other trip up but being so flawless IT NEVER WORKS.*hype WHY IS THE 4TH BOOK NOT IN MY HANDS. We're talking genius' battling it off and trying to make the other trip up but being so flawless IT NEVER WORKS.*hyperventilates*Guilty confession: Light is a mass murdering teenager and yet I still like him.Less guilty confession: Ryuzaki (or "L") is adorable still and chews on things when he's thinking and has big eyes and I really shouldn't care so much about a little black and white drawing BUT THERE YOU GO.This volume had plenty of plot twists, but it didn't have so much action as more THINKING time. Which I'm okay with. But it did make it slower than the other books, I found. I love that Ryuzaki and Light have MET now and are constantly trying to trip each other up. I feel mortally ashamed of myself for getting panicky about Light possibly getting caught. WHERE ARE MY MORALS? IF YOU FIND THEM, SEND THEM BACK TO ME BECAUSE THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR A HOLIDAY.(Thank goodness it's library day tomorrow because I need the next ones immediately.)

There's no denying that ... But lately I've been starting to think of it more like this ... The real evil is the power to kill people” The Moral I thought about since the beginning is told here by Soichiro 'Light's Father' in a very misfortune circumstances..But I am still Team Light, there's too much Misfortune deeds happen to innocent people BY Those who MUST JUST DISAPPEAR.But did you thought just by doing that, you kill someone yourself... you take a soul...you're Death...you're cursed, Misfortune...Well, in this volume you can see how Misfortune Light , he almost get insane really with facing "L" face to face and dealing with him...BUT by the end of this volume. the course of the story will take a strange level.... Kira start acting crazy and clumsy...he sends videos to the Media....sending message to the Japaneses and the NPA...and L.It's crazy move truly , could Light be that Misfortune to do that? or he has a Bigger plan?******************It's really smart volume , that should have titled "Misfortune"A huge plot twists come unexpectedly chapter after chapter , the curse is here...and Light still can't see it.New character appears I believe will make the next volume even more exciting. And Now ,let's see the chapter by chapter rate;Trash (5 Stars)How Light get his killing with all the cameras around his room? if he didn't do any ,it will be even more suspension.. A smart chapter.Gaze (4 Stars)Well, no more cameras.. It was almost getting normal again..BUT The Gaze in the ending is a real 5 stars Twist. The next chapters are just like a great Ping-Ping game.....Humiliation (5 Stars)The Messers and the Messies.... Light in Collage, and his colleague is .... "L"First Move (5 Stars)Still a Ping-Pong.... and it's getting smarter..Duplicity (5 Stars)Light & L will try to work together!!! but it's not the twist...the twist is how to write an end to this thrilling chapter...Misfortune (4 Stars)Here Light's father will deliver his line of Misfortune, But Will Light accept that?Hard Run (4 Stars)I almost hated it....I'm team Light BUT This chapter he's just went so far....funny he's not here to explain..Shield (4 Stars)Still , had Light gone insane? totally insane? it's "L" chance now to get closer to him.Fool (5 Stars)Oh my God......We've been fools to believe all of it..It's really big twist..I just love how smart the authors are..it's a really great thrilling read.Mohammed Arabeyfrom 3 March 2016to 8 March 2016

Yet again, another stellar installment of the Death Note series! This third volume felt more action-packed than its predecessors. The good/bad binaries became even more muddied and the the art work turned darker in tone to accommodate it. It felt like this volume marked a shift in the series, where from here on out we have entered more into the world of the psychological thriller. Again, there were many levels to this and many genres were converged on, but it primarily had a crime-based theme. This was enhanced by the increasing focus on the police detectives and the mysterious L, who are attempting to solve the case of the homicidal maniac murdering both convicted criminals and the police members attempting to trap him. This insight into the two conflicting sides of the case make this compelling reading! In true Death Note style, this has ended on a cliffhanger that is making it impossible for me to stop now! I am a true convert into the Manga world.

L has instructed the police officers to put Surveillance cameras in Light's room to have a closer look at his activities. Ah, Light will not like this:But he has plans to get rid of it.This series' best and most important success factor is that both main characters are equally strong and intelligent.Let me get a phone and recommend this series to you!

3.5 Stars My favorite of the series so far! This is such a crazy smart series, and the plot keeps twisting in ways I'd never expect. Light and L are both fascinating characters and it was super interesting getting in both their heads as they face off. It still moves a little slow at times and I'm not certain what I think overall-- but I'm definitely invested in seeing where this is going.

This one was kind of slow ... I mean I liked all the smart conversations, however it only consisted of talking. I wish it would’ve been more action-packed like the previous two.

4.5 stars - Spoilers-Liked this more than Volume 2. It was more engrossing and the battle of wits between L and Light was immensely entertaining. -I didn't expect L to reveal himself to Light, it was a cool twist. I loved seeing them both trying to stay one step ahead of each other. -The twist at the end was great. I was wondering how Kira/Light was killing off people without knowing their names - I really didn't see the second Kira thing coming at all. -I'm glad the second Kira was a girl but I 4.5 stars - Spoilers-Liked this more than Volume 2. I also hated that the driving force behind her actions was just so she could impress Kira. -I'm not impressed that all the female characters have either been silly and submissive or have only acted a certain way because of a male character. I don't think it's asking much to have one well rounded female character whose world doesn't revolve around a guy.-Looking forward to volume 4.

I really enjoy the battle of wit and will between Light and L., now pumped up a little with the two of them meeting face to face. A new character, another human with a Death Note, is introduced towards the end, somebody who did accept the shinigami eyes. Interested to see where this is going, especially since Light is starting to show some cracks around the edges.

Surprisingly, this volume has some depth to it. On one plane you have L directly involved in checking on Raito who is suspected of being Kira. On another plane you have L's views on Kira and his more aggressive new tactics to lower crime. You have to appreciate Raito's attention to detail, though L still suspects him based on... nothing. Cause he's Sherlock 2.0. L stalks Raito during an exam and does so with his customary hugging-knees position. L has to sit like that, sucking his thumb, otherwise his investigative abilities are half as effective. You can only find this depth in manga.(view spoiler)[L reveals himself and his suspicions to Raito who can't use the death note to get rid of L as that would make him the prime suspect. What a brilliant plan. A long conversation ensues where L is trying to incriminate Raito and the latter is mostly on the defensive. They are interrupted by a phone call about Raito's father, chief Yagami, who had a heart attack and is in hospital. The chief confirms L's identity to Raito who offers his help for the investigation. (hide spoiler)]A tv network gets several tapes from Kira where he outlines his plans for a crime-free world with the police's and L's help. Since they refuse, one of them has to die or else several innocent policemen will die instead. (view spoiler)[L agrees to be the one to sacrifice and uses his spectacular Sherlock-sense to figure out that the Kira who demans this is a different one than the Kira they have been dealing with so far. It turns out the tapes were recorded by a girl named Kira who also has a death note. Raito wants to control the new Kira to clear the real Kira name as much as Kira wants to meet Raito. I think I have an issue with these books, I'm flying through them!! This one was much better than volume. 2 because the rivalry between L and Light has intensified massively. Light is still very clever but has had the arrogance knocked out of him a little by L who is also incredibly clever. There were a few more heart-in-mouth moments, twists and turns and a great revelation at the end BUT I don't have Vol. 4 so I have to wait for it!! Really love this manga.
